The Toad, The Tiger, The Bodhisattva is an ongoing project that reflects my childhood memories and the tensions of class differences. The conflicts in the story are shaped by the invisible boundaries that separate people from different social classes.
Through surreal imagery and the experiences of the protagonists, this animated graphic novel explores how class shapes relationships, perceptions and power dynamics. Rather than spreading blame and hatred, it seeks to promote understanding by revealing the complexities that arise when different worlds collide within the same household, and the consequences of social and domestic inequality.
